in this thread I want to discuss 3d printers... for one reason only- it relates to astral life, that if we want something... POOF it's there, we manifest it. 3d printers I think will save humanity, it will get rid of slaughter houses, it'll get rid of a controlled market, it will get rid of overstock of items. If someone wants something... they can print it, instead of a manufacturer creating way too much of one product which all of it will never be used or sold. I'm not even gonna start this thread. if you feel inclined to search for 3d printers on the tube or the internet, go ahead and post the vids and links here. I've already found vids about making cookies, making magazines for fire arms, making amputee limbs. fill this thread with the endless possibilities of what can be printed, your imagination is the only limit!

since no one seems to see the significance here but lyran check out this documentary. [youtube] the link didnt embed Yeah I do get the significance.......though I don't get how it 'will save humanity' (sorry.....but people my age were sold similar bollocks about computers liberating us all in the 70s and 80s...if anything it'll make even more people redundant....surplus to requirements etc)...and I don't see how it 'will get rid of slaughter houses'....have I missed something with 3D food (whatever that is!)......x
If its a step towards Trekky replicators in every home...I might be cool with that.....but too much potential for even more cheap and oh so easy to throw away non degradable plastics everywhere.......found this interesting video......
London 3D printer show: A world of pure (plastic) imagination
With the fashion...jewelry, shoes, and especially the prosthetic limbs etc....I can see lots of potential positives....but it's also creeping transhumanism ....and listen to the last minute and a half.....computers which make up their own designs....bit too close to Terminator for me!
AHA.......3-D Printer Makes Customized Cookies..........YUK!
Then there's always 3D Guns.......

This is just a very advanced sculpter machine, It does not actually create things from nothing, it takes the materials and basically cuts the shape out. Now if it was rearranging matter that would be a different story. I reversed on tech that we have now and always i get back it old tech, so this has probably been around for quite sometime behind the scenes. I m sure though it might be something cool to work with though.
The machines creating machines that probably old tech too.

Noticed these two uk news items today.....I'm sure the kids will love the free raspberries...but by the time they're adults 'smart cities' could be all they know.....not good....x
Google partnership will see thousands of UK children get Raspberry Pis www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2013/jan/29/google-raspberry-pi-s
Glasgow to become UK’s first ‘smart city,’ will include facial recognition-enabled surveillance cameras www.activistpost.com/2013/01/glasgow-to-become-uks-first-smart-city.html
What Frank said about 'new' technologies having been around a long time......these were first shown in 1966.....and probably already existed.....x

I think one day only the bare materials will be needed to create something, they have these 3d printers that can print steel for instance i.e. guns.
it'll affect the market most definitely, also I know that it can't manipulate the molecules just yet to manifest something like in astral, however 3d is the first step imo. for now it's not being used for the bare necessities of life, but since this technology has finally made it to mainstream I'm sure people are already thinking of this, and it's only a matter of time before someone re-invents and creates that magical wonder machine that can create real food someday, by injecting nutrients into an edible substance that is not synthetic or harmful to the human body.
Perhaps it's not today, maybe it's within our lifetime, but as far as the possibility of life not having to feed on life, i think the odds of that happening just increased dramatically.
